Finding My Voice: How Singing Transformed My Life and Can Change Yours Too

ree

Hello and welcome!

If you’ve landed here, you might already know me—or maybe this is your first time learning about my story. Either way, I’m so glad you’re here. This blog is the beginning of a new chapter for me, and I’m excited to share it with you.

Chasing Stability and Suppressing a Dream

For most of my life, I followed a professional path that was stable and traditional. I studied engineering and worked in tech, chasing a sense of safety and security. On paper, it all looked good. But deep down, I knew something was missing. I wasn’t being true to myself.

Singing had always been a quiet dream of mine, but I let negative beliefs about myself hold me back. I thought singing was only for the experienced or “naturally talented,” and I didn’t feel like I belonged in that category. Over time, the pressure of my career—and suppressing this part of myself—led to multiple burnouts and life crises.

Reconnecting with Singing and the Start of a New Chapter

Everything began to change when I made the decision to reconnect with singing.

It started with a couple of Musical Theater projects in Berlin as well as attending the European Vocal Camp by Modern Vocal Training (MVT), where I found a community of incredible, supportive people who encouraged me to see my potential. For the first time, I began to believe in myself and my voice. That belief inspired me to take my first steps toward making singing a bigger part of my life.

Now, I’m fully immersed in music education and training to become a certified vocal coach through the MVT Level 1 program.

Here’s what I’ve discovered along the way: singing is so much more than just an art form.

Singing: A Gateway to Connection and Joy

Singing is a way to connect to yourself—your emotions, your body, your soul. It’s a powerful tool for mental wellness, helping to regulate your nervous system, reduce stress, and bring more joy into your life. Science even backs this up: singing can boost dopamine (your brain’s feel-good chemical) and lower cortisol (the stress hormone).

Every time I leave a vocal lesson, I feel happier, lighter, and more grounded. And that’s exactly what I want to help others experience.

Imagine this: singing from your heart, feeling the vibrations in your body, and discovering what your voice can do. That joy, freedom, and connection are what I aim to share through my coaching.

And here’s something I deeply believe: anyone can sing.

You don’t need prior experience, a “perfect” voice, or fancy skills to start. Singing is like any athletic activity—it requires training, practice, and patience. The beauty is that it’s never too late to begin, and I’ll be here to guide you every step of the way.

What to Expect Here

In this blog, I’ll be sharing:

• My journey as I grow into my role as a vocal coach.

• Tips for vocal health and technique.

• Insights into the connection between singing and mental wellness.

• Updates about my upcoming coaching sessions. Whether you’re a complete beginner, someone looking for a creative outlet, or just curious about what singing can do for you, I hope this space inspires you to explore your own voice.

I’ll be announcing my availability for lessons soon—so stay tuned! Until then, keep singing, even if it’s just in the shower. Trust me, your voice is worth sharing.

Thanks for being part of this journey with me. 💛
